Senior/Lead Frontend Developer

Role Summary 

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with a strong command of React to join a global financial technology team. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, UI/UX best practices, and is capable of building responsive, high-performance web applications. 

This role is based in Singapore and requires on-site presence 2–3 days a week, collaborating closely with local teams. The team operates across global time zones, so flexibility with working hours, including occasional collaboration in EST, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive and high-quality user interfaces using React
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and services
• Translate UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect, functional components
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements
• Ensure adherence to UI/UX design standards and accessibility best practices
• Debug and resolve technical issues across different browsers and devices
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a frontend developer
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), React, and associated libraries (Redux, React Router, etc.)
• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Familiarity with tools such as Webpack, Babel, and modern build pipelines
• Experience in hybrid team environments and Agile/Scrum methodology
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services
• Comfortable working with global teams and occasionally flexible with time zones

 Preferred Skills 

• Experience in financial services or banking environments
• Familiarity with backend technologies and willingness to work in fullstack teams
• Knowledge of TypeScript, Next.js, or other React ecosystems
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
• Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Experience with performance profiling, accessibility audits, or headless CMS

Work Arrangement 

• Location: Singapore (Hybrid – 2–3 days/week in office). 
• Working Hours: Primarily local time, with occasional flexibility required for EST time zone collaboration.
