We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our Commerce, Profitability, & Revenue (CPR) Analytical Engineering team. This role requires technical expertise and experience developing, implementing, operationalizing, and optimizing complex analytical data models and pipelines. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders on the buildout of valuation and commerce focused analytical assets. CPR Analytical Engineering is tasked with creating commerce datasets to improve current reporting & analytical usage while future proofing for new initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Implement core metrics & dimensions to be leveraged for monitoring business health and for measuring business decision success
- Design and implement scalable, intuitive data models that answer the analytical & business questions of today and tomorrow
- Partner with analytics stakeholders to fully detail the complexities of our commerce data and to provide data usage best practices
- Create presentations and visualizations that provide analytical support for new commerce metrics & concepts that both technical and non-technical audiences can understand
- Champion data quality by fostering relationships with engineering partners and minimize technical debt where possible
- Develop documentation for wide-ranging audience to use commerce data as intended
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical, technical, or business operations role
- Fluency in SQL, with the ability to query and transform large-scale datasets
- Familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Snowflake and Databricks
- Familiarity with data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.
- Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
- Experience in the streaming media industry or other subscription-based service
- Experience in the payment data space
- Experience creating and maintaining Subscriber Lifetime Value (LTV) pipelines and models
- Experience in the technology industry, knowledge of data products
- Experience with Python (writing, managing and deploying code)
#DISNEYTECH
The hiring range for this position in New York is $99,900 - $133,900 per year and in Los Angeles is $95,300 - $127,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
