Senior Java Developer

📍 UK-based | Remote-first with occasional London/northern meetups

🕒 Full-time | Salary: £70,000 – £90,000

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and maintain Java-based systems across multiple businesses
• Gradually modernise legacy code, introducing cleaner architecture and better development practices
• Work closely with onshore and offshore teams to deliver secure, stable solutions
• Identify opportunities for introducing modern tools, frameworks and testing approaches
• Contribute to tech strategy and play a key role in shaping our future stack
• Support a secure and compliant development environment

What we’re looking for

• Solid Java development experience
• Comfortable working with and improving legacy codebases
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based systems
• Good communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Experience in (or interest in) regulated, secure software environments
• Bonus: leadership potential or interest in mentoring as we grow
