SENIOR C++ DEVELOPER - The Job

Join a long-term digital transformation project that directly impacts public safety. You will be part of a core team developing and maintaining two major software applications used daily in the field by local agents. These tools are essential for drafting, registering, and following up on reports. You'll work in a stable, agile-inspired environment where code quality and technical problem-solving are central. Hybrid work is the norm, with a minimum of 2 days per week on-site near Brussels North/Central.

• Design, develop, maintain, and evolve complex multi-user applications.

• Contribute to the full development cycle (backend and frontend).

• Perform technical analyses based on functional requirements.

• Write clear and structured technical documentation.

• Provide support and coaching to colleagues.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.

• Contribute to secure and high-availability software solutions.

• Stay up to date with technological evolutions and propose improvements.

• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprints; 2 release cycles per year with mini internal deployments after each sprint.
  
  

• Languages & Tools: Strong experience in C/C++, SQL, GIT, and DevOps practices.

• Conceptual Knowledge:

  • Understanding keywords in C++

  • Familiarity with t design pattern.

  • SQL concepts

• Other: Experience dealing with complex issues and debugging processes where root causes are difficult to identify.
  
  

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience.

• Solid experience in application development, ideally in critical or public-service environments.

• Comfortable working in a multilingual setting (French, Dutch, English).

• Strong analytical mindset with resilience under pressure.

• Discreet, flexible, and client-oriented.

• Curious and eager to contribute to a mission-driven transformation effort.
