Join Our Team: Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Ultrafast Photonics

Location: Tampere University, Finland

Start: Aug/Sept 2025 | Deadline: June 10, 2025 (23:59 EEST)

What You Will Do

• Lead experiments in nonlinear fiber optics, structured light, integrated nonlinear photonics, optical computing, and AI-driven photonics
• Supervise PhD students and teach (~5% of your time)
• Design and drive your own research within the Research Council of Finland PREIN Flagship

What You Bring

• PhD in photonics, physics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with ultrafast optics and nonlinear photonics (or ML for photonics)
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, LabView, or similar
• Strong English communication skills; international experience is a plus
