- High Level Data / Business Understanding:
As a Data / BI Analyst, you will enjoy tallying up numbers and communicating your findings & insights to a team leader / program owner. You will see different angles / stages of a product or business opportunity, and you will connect the dots and interact with people in various roles and functions. You will work to effectively develop business questions into measurable metrics and provide meaningful recommendations on changes / improvements / next steps.
- Execution Level Data Handling Skills:
As a Data / BI Analyst for Geo Data Insights and Analytics, you will work with complex data sets and pipelines that deliver business insights and drive change. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations and Product teams to track metrics and measure impact. As a data-loving member of the team, you will develop key performance indicators, define success factors, help establish benchmarks and serve as a technical data expert for your partners, using numbers to help them make better decisions. Using your technical skills and business acumen, you’ll build reports, automated pipelines and dashboards so clients can quickly and accurately know how projects are performing. You will weave stories with meaningful insights and intuitive visualizations from data and make critical recommendations for partners from Engineering and Product Management teams.
Minimum qualifications:
● 3+ years of Analytics experience; Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate within a large team of analysts as well as cross-functionally with external engineering and product stakeholders.
● Experience in pulling data from datasets (i.e., SQL), applying transformations and data analysis to solve business problems. Top decile SQL skills are a must (experience in BigQuery is strongly preferred)
● Experience in using tools like Tableau/PowerBI for creating dashboards, intuitive visualizations and ad-hoc reports
● Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, or Computer Science)

● A curious self starter who does not fear failure while exploring new datasets and run tests to understand the existing data structures & infrastructure without any/much documentation/guidance to rely on
● Ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop structured solutions while taking constraints into account
● Experience to articulate, translate, refine and prioritize product / business requirements into structured technical data requirements and conduct feasibility studies
● Experience with composing SQL scripts and to create datamarts / data warehouses along with its data pipelines.
● Experience with creation of dashboards and reports providing insight into business data. Aggregate, organize and visualize data to communicate effectively using presentation skills
● Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to interact cross functionally with product analysts, data scientists, engineers, program managers, ops managers and other team members.
● Strong problem solving ability and quantitative support along with skills to think outside the box for creative solutions
● Ability to debug, optimize existing code and drive improvements to help reduce maintenance efforts on data infrastructure
