DevOps Engineer AWS environment, Permanent, Co Kildare based (with hybrid working).

Role and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure
• Lead infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives for consistency and scalability
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance automation and streamline deployments
• Mentor and guide DevOps best practices as we scale our platform globally
• Bring proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, especially with AWS services
• Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Use and manage containerization tools (Amazon ECS, EKS, Docker)
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and related tools
• Automate with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Ensure best-in-class security and performance in cloud environments
• Participate in post-mortems and root cause analysis for production issues

What you need:

• 5+ years DevOps experience , systems administration experience in AWS environments
• Strong knowledge of DNS, networking protocols, and Linux
• Experience with PostgreSQL RDS, including DDL migrations and backups
• Working knowledge of DevOps automation tools: Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration, microservices, and Docker
• Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter)
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and support
• Experience optimizing AWS costs and maintaining platform security
• Strong collaboration skills, especially in distributed and global teams
