What are you going to do?
As a backend developer, do you want to do more than just write code—do you want to truly contribute to smarter ways of working?
At the Business Automation Tooling team (BAT), we develop automations that eliminate repetitive tasks and make processes more efficient. We build solutions for onboarding, billing, integrations, and more, while continuously improving existing systems to make them smarter and more scalable. With our sustainable solutions, we empower colleagues to take control of their processes, enabling them to make the greatest impact.
"In the BAT team, we don't just build systems—we truly make work smarter. The best part? Turning complex processes into elegant, maintainable automations." – Dominik
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
As a member of the BAT team at Nedap Healthcare, you'll develop and implement innovative solutions for onboarding, billing, integrations, and offboarding.
You’ll analyze complex challenges, map out existing (legacy) systems, and translate them into scalable automation solutions. Together with your team, you'll build tools primarily focused on Healthcare—but with the potential to be used across other market groups within Nedap as well. This role requires an analytical mindset and a willingness to work with tools that may differ from the team's standard stack.
For this position, it’s important that you have a strong interest in identifying, abstracting, and solving problems. Experience with process automation and system integration is a plus. Affinity with the healthcare sector is not required, but definitely an advantage.
Do you want to make an impact in healthcare technology and contribute to innovative, scalable solutions? Then this role might be the perfect fit for you.
Your team
As the BAT team, we make sure our colleagues can focus on what truly matters—without being distracted by cumbersome processes.
We don’t just make work easier—we often make it unnecessary by building smart automations.
"We automate processes so well that people forget they ever had a problem. Our team collaborates smoothly and always keeps the long term in mind." – Marco
We're increasingly collaborating with teams across Nedap’s four key markets: Healthcare, Livestock, Security, and Retail. We value a critical mindset and encourage each other to come up with the best solutions—not just for today, but for the future.
"With every sprint, we grow stronger as a team, and that’s contagious. The best part is coming up with innovative solutions that truly make an impact." – Mike
We work in a hybrid way. While working from home is definitely possible, we prefer to meet in the office at least once a week to exchange ideas and keep communication smooth. Of course, other arrangements are open for discussion—we’re happy to find what works best together.
Our offer
As a Backend Developer at Nedap, you make a valuable contribution to our goal: making people happier and more successful in their professional lives. We offer a salary above market average based on your background and experience. Additionally, you are entitled to a thirteenth month, a good pension scheme, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a shareholder of Nedap. Everything we do revolves around trust and autonomy. That's why you determine your own working hours and vacation days. We also place great value on personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive introduction, and we encourage you to continually develop yourself.
