Senior Security Analyst

A Senior Security Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization's information assets by implementing robust security measures and incident response protocols. They are responsible for designing, overseeing, and continuously improving security processes to protect the company from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Working in tandem with IT teams, they analyze security risks, identify potential security threats, and drive the implementation of security solutions that mitigate those risks, ensuring the organization's information remains confidential, integral, and available. The incumbent is expected to stay updated on the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape, provide expert guidance to junior analysts, and contribute significantly to the organization's security strategy. A candidate in this role must possess exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and solid communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and diagnose security incidents in real-time.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk management activities regularly.
• Develop and implement strategic security protocols across the organization.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches promptly.
• Lead penetration testing activities to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure infrastructure.
• Prepare comprehensive security reports for senior management and executives.
• Perform security audits to assess compliance with policies and standards.
• Design and conduct security training and awareness programs for staff.
• Stay current on emerging security trends and apply best practices.
• Mentor and provide support to junior security analysts and IT staff.
• Coordinate disaster recovery planning and data backup solutions efficiently.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in IT security roles.
• Proven expertise in security analysis and incident response processes.
• Strong understanding of firewall management and data privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS.
• Experience in using security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailed security alerts.
