About the Role:

We are looking for a data scientist to join our team, to help us improve our data platform and to create and improve our AI-offering.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making across various sustainability initiatives.
  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models to optimize environmental impact strategies and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results, communicate findings, and present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders for sustainable project growth.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional data science experience, with Python as your primary language.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of core data science concepts, including the lifecycle of model development and quality metrics.
  • Experience with NLP; multi-language task experience is a plus.
  • Experience deploying software to production.
  • MLOps or DevOps experience and have worked in cloud environments, ideally AWS. Bonus if you’ve used SageMaker in production.
  • Strong understanding of scalable databases and data pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with professional-level English.
  • Ability to find new approaches, learn new things independently, and a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Already based in Berlin, with eligibility to work in Germany and available to start soon!
