About The Role

The Project Department at Autronica consists of 60 dedicated professionals within Project Management, Engineering, Project Coordination, and Document Control.

We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Middle East team. The position is based in Doha, Qatar, and will primarily be site-based. With Qatar representing Autronica’s largest installed base and ambitious plans for further growth, this is a great opportunity to play a key role in our continued success in the region.

As Project Manager, you will act as the single point of contact for our valued customer, Qatar Energy. You will be responsible for coordinating activities between our teams in the Middle East and Norway, as well as with subcontractors. This role is central to our business in Qatar and requires a high level of independence, ownership, and a proactive mindset.

Tasks and area of responsibility you will have in this role:

• Lead delivery projects of fire and gas alarm systems in accordance with the customer's specification, concluded contract and applicable regulations.
• Implement and achieve the company's budgeted financial results for the projects under responsibility.
• Focal Point of Contact towards the customer organization. Communicate with the customer's representative via emails, meetings, and site visits.
• Ensure that the project work is carried out with good HSE and quality according to the company's current processes and procedures.
• Sub-contractor management – Our project demands high degree of involvement from subcontractors. The PM shall ensure that their scope is conducted seamlessly.
• Responsible for the overall delivery of the project including documentation.
• Active interaction with internal team members via follow-up with the team in weekly meetings where the project manager is also meeting leader.
• Active risk and change management of own project portfolio.
• Be a first point of contact for Project and Service support to End User.
• Support Sales team for local business meetings and bid process to win projects.
  
  

Qualifications We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you are a clear communicator with a positive, solution-oriented mindset. • Engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Earlier project management experience or site supervision experience in Oil & Gas is valued.
• Preference for applicants currently based in Qatar.
• The position does not involve personnel responsibility but emphasizes experience in getting the work done through others and very good communication skills.
• Have knowledge of the regulations that apply to delivery projects of fire and gas alarm systems.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Project Planning Software, etc.).
