About this opportunity:
Ericsson Estonia Test Technology department is looking for a new Test Software Architect to join our operation in Tallinn. The key deliverable of this Test Architect role is to collaborate with developers to design and maintain test systems and components crucial to our product suite. The responsibilities will also include analysing requirements, documenting products, and supporting PLM, with a focus on system design.
As part of our Test Technology department, you will develop innovative and cost-effective testing solutions for 4G/5G radio and baseband products, working on test platforms that integrate hardware and software within our Tallinn Test Laboratory. This is a hybrid position based at our Tallinn Testing Laboratory with minimum 3-4 days per week working on site at the laboratory.
What you will do:
- Lead the development and implementation of standardized test software solutions for our platform.
- Oversee the execution of test solution implementation and manage test system integration to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Manage and update the test software platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and monitoring delegated tasks.
- Develop and drive documentation for production test design requirements, in accordance with the global roadmap (e.g., Implementation Proposal).
- Conduct early-phase evaluations and Opportunity Analyses for new products, supporting design efforts with an emphasis on testability.
- Design team competence, strategy plans together with line management and contribute to the unit strategy in terms of technical solutions
- Study product technologies and test requirements, providing strategic feedback to enhance product testability and design.
- Work closely with Product Design, Test Project Managers, Embedded Software, and Test Verification teams to ensure seamless cross-functional integration.
- Lead test fault analysis initiatives, proactively identifying and resolving testing-related issues.
- Drive improvements in automation and troubleshooting for development and production test environments, utilizing advanced tools and practices.
- Hands on experience on SW architecture (microservices, gRPC) and SW design patterns
- 3-5 years’ work experience in C# programming language
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, ICT or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge and experience in test development
- Previous development background from telecom or electronics or radio frequency.
- Leadership skills with a strong sense of ownership in driving development and achieving team success
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills
- Excellent Initiative mindset in problem solving, both individually and with team
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and analytical skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
