About the role

We are looking to hire a skilled Senior Risk Manager to join our Risk team in Luxembourg or in Copenhagen, reporting to our Global Information Security Officer & DPO who is based in Luxembourg.

As our Senior Risk Manager, you'll be the driving force behind bold, data-driven decisions that keep innovation moving safely and swiftly. You will also get the chance to work on the 2nd LOD and oversees the anticipation, identification, measurement, monitoring, controlling and reporting of all risks Banking Circle is or may be exposed to.

What you will be doing

• Develop, maintain, and implement a robust risk management framework (Operational, IT, Liquidity Risk) aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Partner with the CRO to define and evolve risk policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Challenge and support the 1st Line of Defense through Risk & Control Self-Assessments and independent assurance activities.
• Provide expert risk input on change initiatives and ensure timely mitigation of material risk gaps, including formal risk acceptances.
• Serve as subject matter expert and main point of contact for your risk area.
• Deliver insightful risk reporting to senior management and the Board.

What we are looking for

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have a minimum of 5 years of experience from a similar role focused on risk management, preferably within the banking or fintech industry. Ideally you also hold a university degree in IT, Cyber Security, Risk management or equivalent.

You have a solid grasp of risk frameworks, measurement systems, and regulatory requirements, backed by a proven track record in developing and implementing effective risk controls.

You are proactive, rigorous, and able to work independently with integrity and resilience. With strong analytical and communication skills, you simplify complex matters and foster cross-functional collaboration. You thrive in fast-paced environments, and you can manage multiple priorities with ease.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English.
