Role: Network & Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Network and Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and cloud-native security tools across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and enforce network and cloud security architectures.

Implement and manage security controls for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc)

Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing.

Automate security processes using scripts and tools.

Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams on secure deployments.

Requirements:

Must be based in Netherlands

Professional Proficiency of English Language

Bachelors degree (desireable)

Proven experience in network and cloud security engineering.

Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and routing protocols.

Experience with cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender).

Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty) preferred.
