Python Engineer (ML/AI experience)

We are looking for a skilled Python ML/AI Engineer to join an innovative project team focused on building GenAI-powered systems from the ground up. You will work closely with engineers and data scientists in a dynamic, AI-first environment to develop intelligent solutions for streaming platforms using modern technologies like Kafka, LLMs, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable AI/ML-powered applications
  • Develop backend services and data pipelines using Python and Kafka
  • Integrate LLM-based systems (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into real-world workflows
  • Build APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment (AWS or Azure)
  • Work with Data Scientists to bring GenAI models into production
  • Collaborate in an agile team across multiple locations with partial overlap in the Pacific Timezone

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in scalable AI/ML development
  • Strong Python skills (preferred), or Java/C#
  • Hands-on with ML libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow
  • Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Kafka
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Knowledge of LLM integration: prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG

Nice to have

  • Experience with Spark, Hadoop
  • Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, vector DBs, Copilot
  • Experience with secure, low-latency systems
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
  • Prior work in incubation/startup-style projects
