The Senior PHP Developer is a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional who possesses in-depth expertise in PHP development, including its most recent frameworks and CMS platforms. Responsible for creating, testing, and deploying web applications, the Senior PHP Developer must work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. They are required to not only write clean, scalable, and efficient code but also guide and mentor junior developers. This role calls for someone who can troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, continuously improve the software development lifecycle, and keep abreast of emerging technologies. The candidate should have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adept problem-solving skills, exhibit a strong attention to detail, and show a passion for successfully delivering robust, innovative, and user-friendly web solutions. This role is pivotal in helping the team deliver outstanding projects that meet the organization's and clients’ needs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications using PHP and associated technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather software requirements and specifications.
• Implement best practices for robust and secure PHP code solutions.
• Migrate existing applications to modern PHP frameworks for improved performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues arising in web applications or software.
• Optimize application code for maximum speed and scalability on various platforms.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all programming-related processes.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with company coding standards.
• Advise on software patterns, technology usage, and upcoming software technologies.
• Train, mentor, and guide junior developers to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Manage version control systems and software release practices for the team.
• Ensure continuous integration and deployment processes are adhered to effectively.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience developing web applications with PHP for a minimum of five years.
• Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket required.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks.
