Cloud & Dev Ops Engineer

Job Purpose

The Cloud & Dev Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing our cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring seamless deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably on Azure), as well as a strong understanding of DevOps principles and tools.

Job Responsibilities-

• Manage and monitor cloud environments, including provisioning, scaling, and decommissioning resources.
• Implement/Manage Kubernetes environment running on AKS.
• Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automate manual processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and repeatability of environment setups.
• Implement Business Continuity of applications using ASR or related technologies
• Ensure the availability, scalability, and security of the cloud infrastructure.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize resource usage.
• Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions to ensure proactive issue resolution.
• Maintain cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency.
• Troubleshoot system issues, resolve incidents, and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure the cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and firewall configurations etc.
• Ensure regular patching, updates, and audits to maintain compliance.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to understand requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud environments and DevOps processes.
• Assist in the migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
• Maintain accurate system documentation including configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
• Generate reports on system health, performance, and resource utilization
• Follow ITIL processes and best practices

Qualifications Experience & Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience
• 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in IT industry

Preferred Certification/Training

• Linux Certification
• Kubernetes Certification (OpenShift/AKS/EKS)
• Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS)
• ITIL Foundation or higher
