Job Description

The Automation DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between software developers and IT operations. This dynamic position involves developing automated solutions for continuous integration, deployment, and maintenance using modern DevOps tools and methodologies. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure streamlined and efficient code delivery pipelines. By implementing robust automation frameworks, the Automation DevOps Engineer ensures that processes are optimized, repeatable, and reliable. Additionally, the role involves close interaction with development and IT teams to ensure that best practices in code, configuration management, and continuous deployment are followed to facilitate rapid release cycles. The engineer continuously strives to enhance the scalability and reliability of systems through innovative automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation strategies to improve development processes.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage infrastructure using configuration management tools and practices.
• Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors.
• Facilitate the implementation of DevOps methodologies across deployment practices.
• Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and stability.
• Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance and secure deployments.
• Develop and support build and deployment scripts for production systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues in the automation and deployment processes.
• Conduct training sessions to upskill the team on new automation tools.
• Continuously research and evaluate new products and technologies in the automation space.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on automation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development frameworks.
