Network Engineer

Job Description

The Network Engineer position plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a company's network systems. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the robust functioning of network infrastructures, which include local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, and the internet. Your expertise will be essential in managing and optimizing networks to ensure they perform efficiently and are scalable to meet company demands. You will monitor network activities and enhance network security to prevent potential cyber threats. You will also troubleshoot and resolve various network issues to minimize downtime and improve system availability. Your role will require collaboration with IT and business teams, as well as third-party vendors, to plan, execute, and deliver network solutions aligned with strategic objectives. This role offers a dynamic environment where innovative thinking and problem-solving skills will be key.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new network solutions for optimal performance.
• Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Perform network maintenance tasks to ensure systems remain operational.
• Undertake data network fault investigations to identify the root cause.
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy network solutions for various projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Proven experience working as a Network Engineer in similar capacity.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with network operating systems.
• Proficient knowledge of networking protocols and topologies is essential.
• Experience with network diagnostic and analytical tools is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
