At Truveta, you’ll work on impactful projects in a dynamic startup environment, solving computing challenges that directly improve lives. This entry-level role offers mentorship, professional growth, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge healthcare technology.
Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering fundamentals to build reliable and user-friendly software solutions using modern cloud-based tools and practices.
- Collaborate with teammates to develop and test components of Truveta’s platform, including web interfaces and backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for writing clean, maintainable code.
- Explore and contribute to proof-of-concept integrations within Truveta’s ecosystem under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Embrace curiosity and a growth mindset to learn about healthcare technology and deliver on our mission.
- Adhere to Truveta’s principles of ethical innovation, privacy, and security, with ongoing training provided.
- A recent / expected graduate from a program in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field of study
- Familiarity with programming in one or more modern languages (e.g.: JavaScript, dotnet, python, java) through coursework, internships, or personal projects
- Basic understanding of web development or backend development (e.g., HTML, CSS, REST APIs, databases, server-side logic)
- Interest in learning about distributed systems, data pipelines, or healthcare technology
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team setting
- Passion for Truveta’s mission to improve healthcare through data
- Experience with genomic data or healthcare-related projects is a plus but not required.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) through academic projects or internships is a plus
- Contributions to open-source projects, hackathons, or personal coding projects.

- The base pay for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
