Data Quality Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Quality Analyst to join the national digital health transformation program in Qatar. This role will support the implementation of data quality frameworks and ensure the consistency, completeness, and accuracy of health-related data across national healthcare systems.

You will work closely with the Health Data Quality & Standards Expert to monitor data pipelines, validate health datasets, and enforce best practices in healthcare data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation of clinical and operational datasets
• Identify anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies in healthcare data
• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure data quality across systems (EMRs, LIS, HIE)
• Monitor KPIs and create dashboards to track data quality metrics (completeness, timeliness, accuracy)
• Support implementation of data quality rules, metadata standards, and integrity checks
• Document data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation steps
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) of data-related features
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and informatics experts
• Assist in defining data dictionaries, value sets, and clinical terminology mappings
• Create reports and visualizations using BI tools (Power BI, Excel, or equivalent)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field
• 1+ years of experience in data analysis, quality control, or healthcare data environments
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data querying, and reporting tools
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or clinical data exchange standards is a strong plus
• Experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboarding tools
• Understanding of healthcare workflows, EMR data, and clinical coding systems (ICD, SNOMED) is desirable
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in healthcare or public sector data projects
• Exposure to data quality frameworks, DQ rule engines, or data governance tools
• Ability to analyze structured/unstructured clinical data
