We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer specializing in WordPress to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both the backend and frontend of WordPress, including advanced knowledge of the WordPress API, custom theme development, and custom plugin creation. You will play a critical role in building high-performance, responsive websites and solutions that drive engagement and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex WordPress websites, themes, and plugins from scratch.
• Customize and extend WordPress core functionality using hooks, filters, and the REST API.
• Create responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), and modern frontend frameworks (optional).
• Optimize website performance, including load speed, scalability, and SEO best practices.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs into WordPress environments.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers to create seamless digital experiences.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain code quality through best practices such as version control (Git), documentation, and testing.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience with PHP and WordPress development.
• Proficient in WordPress backend development including custom post types, taxonomies, custom fields (ACF), and WP Query.
• Strong understanding of the WordPress REST API and headless WordPress architecture.
• Experience creating and modifying custom themes and plugins.
• Fluent in frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS), JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with MySQL and database management in a WordPress context.
• Knowledge of Git version control and deployment workflows.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and SEO-friendly coding.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of WooCommerce and other popular WordPress plugins.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing.
• Familiarity with hosting environments (e.g., cPanel, WP Engine, Kinsta).
• Experience in Agile development workflows.
