About This Role

• Please note that this position is located in Enschede (3 days a week at our Enschede office and 2 days working from home)
  
  

As our Web Frontend Engineer in Fintech, you’ll play a vital part in our Fintech team, collaborating with world-class engineers to design, implement, and maintain payment-related features for the Just Eat Takeaway website. You'll be instrumental in developing the front-end for Fintech critical functionalities, crafting intuitive and secure user experiences, and ensuring seamless integrations between our platform and payment gateways through web technologies and APIs.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Develop scalable and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, QEs, and developers to enhance products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure system reliability.
• Document technical decisions and architectural strategies.
• Work closely with QE and Support teams to improve product quality.
• Conduct code reviews, write tests, and optimize application performance.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Strong proficiency in React JS and its ecosystem, including state management with Redux and asynchronous flow management with Redux-Saga, alongside a solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript (JS/TS).
• Experience with Vue.js or other reactive JavaScript frameworks is strongly welcome.
• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS for building user interfaces, and a strong grasp of the HTTP protocol for seamless communication with backend services.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and familiarity with Linux environments for development and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for iterative development and effective teamwork.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, delivering clean, well-documented, and maintainable code. Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and Playwright is a plus.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently within a team and independently.
• Prior experience in the Fintech domain is a significant plus, demonstrating an understanding of relevant industry practices.
