Position Overview

Are you a software developer who is passionate about building and scaling cloud services for world-class design and construction solutions? Do you have the skills and experience to design and implement reliable and trusted SaaS products that can handle a large user base and complex data flow? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Docs team in Autodesk AEC Construction R&D is seeking a talented and highly motivated junior or intermediate developer to join its development team and work on cloud services and products for its global customers. You will be part of a dynamic software development team, collaborating with global teams to deliver high-quality cloud services that help customers transform to a cloud-powered Autodesk experience.

This is a hybrid based position in our Vancouver office, with expectation of 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the full life cycle of software development
• Work with the scrum team members to accomplish requirements from product managers and customers
• Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems with guidance from other scrum team members
• Help identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems with help from other team members
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Be willing to span to full stack development whenever necessary
• Write and maintain code with high attention to detail, perform peer code-reviews, and participate in technical design discussions
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-2+ years software development experience
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Prior exposure of typical web architecture (data, application, web tiers, etc.)
• Prior exposure to of cloud service technologies (Infrastructure as Code, CDK, or similar)
• Cloud service monitoring tool experience
• Ability to work with a team in an Agile environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with Java backend development
• Experience in using AWS services
• Experience with database technologies

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $78,100 and $114,510. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
