Tech Backstage, founded by an exGoogler, aims to be an incubator of SMEs within Climate and Social Impact. In 2021, the company started investing in startups with a portfolio ranging from seed to Series B stages in Carbon Accounting, Gaming, Fintech B2C2C, Electrification in Maritime, and Sustainable Living.
Role Description
Our portfolio is evolving to focus on solving social challenges preventing the adoption of ecological lifestyles. In 2025 we will be incubating two new small businesses that operate spaces for Climate technical learning (Youth) and sustainability advocacy centers (communities). We are looking for a Lead Designer to elevate and transform all aspects of our visual brand, prototypes and design thinking processes. In this role you will become a founding member of our team. We are looking for someone who has the desire to be part of and grow businesses organically; who will act as a owner and influence the visual identify of our initiatives and our venture journey.
The role will be flexible until February 2025, upon which you are expected to work minimum 60%. The Senior UX and Product Designer will be responsible for Design Thinking, User Research, Visual Design, User Experience (UX), and Prototyping on a day-to-day basis. You will work closely with our Junior Designers and Interns to faciliate the process of harmonizing our brand image and values.
To succeed on this role:
You have experience developing prototypes and you like to lead product/service design processes. You are able to iterate and execute drafts while mainting a consistent workflow towards the final delivery. You take initiative to complete tasks and are selfless in collaborating with others optimizing their ideas. You are comfortable with change and can navigate uncertainty to bring your own advisory into our innovation roadmap. You will be joining a team of 3 co-founders located in Oslo, Nice and San Francisco.
