Responsibilities

About Global Payment

The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

The Data Intelligence team is responsible for designing & building data intelligence architecture, including data warehouses, data service, data platform products, to support business. This team is also responsible for data analysis, algorithm development & optimization, and building data solutions for growth, risk control, and compliance to drive business through data-driven & algorithm-driven.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following Internships

• From May onwards to August 2025 (full time)
• From August to October 2025 (part time)

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the development of data requirements in international payment data query, data acquisition, and dataset construction.
• Be responsible for the construction of the data warehouse system for international payments, the abstraction of data models, and the operation of the one-page of data assets.
• Be responsible for the implementation of the data index system and provide the construction of the one-page of index assets.
• Mine, process portrait labels and features through data to support the optimization and iteration of algorithms, strategies, and products.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Have solid programming skills, be proficient in SQL, and be familiar with languages such as Golang and Python.
• Have a good understanding of data warehouse construction, data modeling, and data governance. Those with experience in data product development will be given priority.
• Have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership, possess good communication and expression abilities, be positive and optimistic, and have good teamwork skills.
• Have strong learning abilities, a strong thirst for knowledge and a progressive mindset, and take the initiative to pay attention to and learn the latest technologies in the industry in a timely manner.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Those with relevant data internship experience and business experience in fields such as payment, finance, and credit will be given priority.
• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
