👨💻 About the Role
As a Junior Machine Learning Deployment Engineer, you will support the development and deployment of machine learning models powering the autonomous driving stack. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to transition models from research to production, focusing on deployment pipelines, performance tuning, and scalable infrastructure.
🔧 What You’ll Do
Model Integration & Deployment
- Assist in deploying ML models into production environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members to convert models (e.g., from PyTorch) into deployment-ready formats like ONNX or TensorFlow Lite.
Pipeline Support
- Help build and maintain inference pipelines for embedded and edge devices.
- Contribute to model integration with perception and planning modules.
Monitoring & Maintenance
- Participate in monitoring model performance and supporting ongoing improvements.
- Help implement basic validation strategies (e.g., version checks, test cases).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with ML engineers, DevOps, and hardware teams to support deployment efforts.
- Learn best practices for MLOps and CI/CD workflows.
Learning & Development
- Stay updated on new tools and trends in ML deployment.
- Receive mentorship from senior engineers and participate in code reviews and design sessions.
🎓 What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Internship or 1+ year of experience in ML deployment or applied machine learning is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python; exposure to C++ is an asset.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Basic understanding of model conversion tools (ONNX, TensorFlow Lite, etc.).
- Exposure to Linux environments, version control (Git), and container tools (Docker) is beneficial.
Soft Skills
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded devices.
