Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, Azure, MS Server environments, and IP networking. This critical role supports our mission by ensuring robust IT infrastructure, seamless system performance, and secure, efficient network operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and bring proactive solutions to complex IT challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft-based environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and Exchange.
- Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud services, including VMs, networking, backups, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Administer and monitor IT systems, ensuring optimal uptime, performance, and security.
- Implement and maintain IP-based technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure network security through regular assessments, patching, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Provide tier 2/3 technical support to internal teams and remote locations, including vessels and offshore assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support specialized maritime technology systems.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset tracking, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT operations with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in:
Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, identity, security)
Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams administration)
- Strong understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with IT security tools, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in maritime or offshore industry IT systems is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA) are a strong advantage.
