We’re looking for a lead developer for the application “Pension Solutions Gateway” to:

• work closely with the Requirements Engineer, the Solution Architect as well as the Product Owner in the team and translate the requirements into tasks and stories for the development team
• support the development team (Backend & Frontend) in their work through review, guidance and seniority
• foster the team members and train talents to grow in their roles
• ensure highest quality delivery of our Software and implement respective quality measures and checks
• ensure the fully development cycle including proper documentation, unit testing and test automation scripting
• support the team with your own development skills and ability if required and needed
• be the “go to” person for all technical topics for “your” application
  
  

Your team
You’ll be working in the team “Obtain Pension Solutions” based in Zürich as the lead developer for the team “PSG application”, providing user journeys for pensions products and processes. The IT capabilities cover a spectrum of features related to pension provision, such as accounting, advice, investment, and maintenance. 

Our team is responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of modern, channel agnostic services to be used by clients as self-services and internal experts alike. As a lead developer, you are a key player to achieve both, business and technology objectives through providing guidance and advise to your development colleagues in Zurich, India and the Philippines.

Your expertise

• B.S. degree (or similar) in Computer Science (or similar) and more than 5 years of experience in Java Backend and JavaScript Frontend development
• a solid knowledge of Java, both at Functional and Object-Oriented Programming level, Test Driven Development and testing automations
• expert knowledge on design pattern and distributed architecture, with a passion for delivering quality software using best practices in chosen technology
• designing and implementing REST APIs, understanding full end-to-end integration
• 3+ years in total with Spring Framework / Spring Batch / Spring Boot, JEE, Servlets and JPA (Hibernate)
• strong SQL skills, RDBMS know how (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and confidence creating DML / DDL scripts.
• experience with Cloud native technology (Microservices, container technology) and DevOps
• accustomed with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• excellent skills as creative problem solver and team player with great communication skills and fluent in English
  
  

Preferably:

• 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
• Web development with React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS and Web unit / integration testing
