Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior UI/UX Designer located in Sydney, NSW. We're looking for a talented, mission-driven Senior UI/UX Designer to join our growing product team. You’ll play a key role in shaping the design language of Bright across mobile and web, working closely with product, engineering, and health experts to deliver intuitive, elegant, and effective user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across the full product lifecycle, from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final hand-off.
• Translate complex health data and user needs into intuitive, elegant interfaces.
• Develop wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for mobile and web experiences.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and health experts to bring designs to life.
• Establish and evolve our design system and visual language.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on feedback to continuously improve the product.
• Advocate for user-centric thinking and accessibility across everything we build.

Skills/Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally with a focus on health, wellness, or data-rich applications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design process, final deliverables, and the impact of your work.
• Deep expertise with tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Experience designing for both iOS and Android (responsive design a plus).
• Ability to balance aesthetics with clarity, simplicity, and functionality.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup environment with a high degree of ownership.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in health tech, medtech, or quantified self products.
• Familiarity with biometric data, wearable devices, or nutrition tracking.
• Motion design and interaction prototyping experience.
• Background in conducting or supporting user research.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines.
