As an AI-First Full Stack Engineer, you'll be building full-scale web and mobile applications that seamlessly integrate cutting-edge AI services with robust full-stack solutions. We are seeking expertise in AWS Cloud solutions including Bedrock and OCR, modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Next.js, Nuxt, and Node.js. Your AI-powered development approach will create intelligent applications that leverage machine learning capabilities to solve complex business problems at scale.

About You

You are a full-stack generalist who has embraced AI-first development methodologies, using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate your development process. You're equally comfortable building React frontends, Node.js/Python backends, and complex AWS cloud architectures. You understand that modern development means leveraging AI services like Bedrock and Vertex AI to build intelligent applications. You thrive using TDD methods, automated testing, and Agile methodologies while focusing on finding the simplest solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years full-stack development experience with modern frameworks
• Fluent English, strong written and verbal communication skills
• 9am-5pm EST availability with reliable workspace/internet
• Heavy AWS cloud experience, particularly with Bedrock and AI services
• Full-stack generalist comfortable with React/Next.js and Node.js/Python
• Agile methodologies experience, startup environment passion
• Independent problem-solver, team player willing to work flexible hours when needed
  
  

Technical Requirements

Core Full-Stack Skills

• React/Next.js for frontend development, Node.js or Python for backend
• RESTful API design and integration, database design and management
• Modern JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive web design, version control (Git)
• CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions experience
  
  

AI & Cloud Expertise (Required)

• Experience with at least one of Bedrock, Vertex AI, or similar AI cloud platforms required. Willingness to quickly learn others.
• Heavy AWS Cloud services experience (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, etc.)
• OCR and agentic OCR parsing experience

• Modern authentication mechanisms and secure API design

Project Deliverables

You'll be working on building a comprehensive invoice processing system with AI-powered capabilities. Key deliverables include:

Core Invoice Processing Pipeline

• Web UI and email-based invoice upload with PDF validation
• AWS Bedrock integration for AI-powered OCR and document classification
• Invoice validation interface with side-by-side comparison and manual correction capabilities
• Comprehensive invoice listing with filtering, sorting, and status indicators
  
  

Workflow & Integration Systems

• Multi-approver workflow with sequential routing and role-based assignments
• Xero accounting integration with secure API authentication and invoice synchronization
• Status overview dashboard for real-time processing visibility
• Automated workflow selection based on document classification
  
  

Benefits/Compensation

• Fully Remote, Contract-based with U.S. company
• $4,000/mo - $7,500/mo depending on experience and project duration
