Backend Engineer - Fulfillment Core B2B

Zalando fulfills more than a hundred million customer orders every year and the volumes are increasing. Inbound Distribution Centers play an important role in Zalando's Fulfillment Network, making the supply of inbound goods available for customer orders.

As a Backend Engineer in our Inventory & Network Management Engineering team you will build services that enable efficient and scalable inbound operations. The team is responsible for building and maintaining integrations with the inbound distribution centers - business crucial elements in the supply chain of Zalando.

We will support you to grow and work with exciting modern technologies.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Build and operate services that ensure seamless integration between Zalando and logistics providers
• Solve operational issues and help our stakeholders to find suitable solutions to their problems
• Work in an agile team where each member has full ownership of the development cycle from solution design to testing, implementation and maintenance
• Together with the team, push the bar higher for the standards of code quality, SRE and processes
  
  
  

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You put customers/users/stakeholders first and are keen on solving their problems
• You have solid skills in any of the JVM languages and eager to develop in Kotlin & SpringBoot
• You have experience with relational databases (we use Postgresql) and ideally also with NoSQL databases knowing when a given tool is the best fit for the problem at hand to solve
• You have experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
• You have good grasp on the event driven architecture
• You are a team player and you share the no-job-is-beneath-you attitude
• You'd rather try and fail than never try and never fail
