Bluetooth developer for cross functional team

Nordic Semiconductor is expanding its R&D capacity and is seeking talented, experienced developers with strong expertise in embedded software development, architecture, and verification. Join our world-leading, cross-functional teams to further develop our Bluetooth protocol stack.

We follow agile methodologies and collaborate closely with leading global customers. You’ll participate in interoperability sessions with other system vendors and contribute to Bluetooth SIG standardization efforts. Depending on your expertise, your focus will be on either Bluetooth protocol architecture and stack implementation or verification and validation of stack quality.


Key responsibilities

On a regular daily basis, your main responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Analyzing new Bluetooth specification features, Nordic chip features, to design and implement Bluetooth protocol stack
  • Writing unit tests and designing automated test cases in line with Nordic’s software development process
  • Developing and maintaining a fully automated testing solution to support continuous integration and early issue detection
  • Debugging and analyzing protocol issues in bare-metal or RTOS environments
  • Actively participating in Scrum ceremonies such as planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to enhance team performance


Qualification and skills

  • M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybernetics or related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven experience in embedded software design, development, and testing
  • Strong programming skills in C, Python proficiency is a plus
  • Preferred experience and skills in one or more of the following areas:
  • Embedded real-time operating systems
  • Wireless protocols and applications
  • Ultra-low power implementation
  • ARM Cortex or similar micro-controllers
  • Device drivers (e.g., UART, SPI, timers, or NVM)
  • Test framework development and automation
