EMEAA Tech People is hiring on behalf of a leading financial services company to appoint a skilled Cloud Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure transformation and innovation across their Middle East operations. This role is based in Dubai and offers a unique opportunity to influence the digital backbone of a global financial institution.

The Role:

As Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud environments to support the company’s digital infrastructure and financial platforms. You will play a key role in the company’s migration to cloud-native solutions, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and business continuity across all cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure (primarily on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to architect and implement cloud-native solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance across all cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.
• Assist with cloud migration strategies, planning, and execution from legacy systems to cloud platforms.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for cloud operations and support teams.
• Report to the Head of IT Infrastructure, contributing to the company’s broader digital transformation roadmap.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Based in UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related infrastructure roles within financial services or other regulated industries.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) with relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
• Problem-solver with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Passionate about technology, continuous improvement, and innovation in the cloud space.
