We are seeking someone who is motivated to contribute to one of Coop Norge's key areas of focus going forward. As a Data Scientist in Data & Analyse you will be essential in building and developing new models and services to solve business problems. You will work closely with data engineers, data analysts and product owners. You will work with personalization and targeted marketing in digital channels, and insight for decision support and business process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with identifying needs, give advise and deliver insight within Digital Channels, Member & Market technology.
  • Build both simple and sophisticated data science models to solve some of Coop’s most complex business problems.
  • Develop insight products and models using dbt, BigQuery and VertexAI.
  • Communicate models and insights and make actionable recommendations.
  • Be a contributor in defining, building, exploring and improving our data platform and CX-platform.
  • Contribute to develop a strong Data Science community in Coop, keeping up to date on the latest development within data science methodologies and tooling.
  • Actively contribute to fostering a modern data culture within Coop and strengthen our data-driven organization.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in core analytics methods and various Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, Optimization and Predictive Modelling
  • Solid knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with a broad base of Python data science libraries and frameworks (e.g. pandas, pyspark, scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.)
  • Experience with git, cloud solutions (Azure, GCP), container technologies (Docker) and dbt.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical resources
  • Analytical skills, and strategic thinking
  • Has a strong motivation to deliver value to end-users
  • Can effectively communicate complex analyses and findings to team members and others in the organization.
  • Higher education, preferably a master's degree in relevant fields.
