Job Description:

Blend is looking for a highly skilled Fullstack Generative AI Engineer based in LATAM to join our team of innovators. This role requires a technically proficient engineer with a strong background in Python, cloud services, and generative AI technologies, who thrives in an autonomous and collaborative environment. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality AI applications that leverage LLMs and vector databases.

• Duration: Full-time contract position - 6+ months

Compensation is:

49,378 ARS per hour - Argentina

47,342 CLP per hour - Chile

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable fullstack AI solutions using generative AI models and cloud-based architectures (AWS or Azure).
• Implement and fine-tune generative AI models, including LLMs, with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to enhance model capabilities.
• Utilize Python extensively for both backend development and data-driven AI applications, with a focus on machine learning model integration.
• Leverage vector databases for advanced information retrieval and semantic search, optimizing data storage and retrieval systems for AI-powered applications.
• Integrate AI agents into production environments, enabling real-world applications that use AI-driven insights and predictions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, AI researchers, and backend engineers, to create end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of applications through best practices in cloud computing on Azure or AWS.
• Document workflows, model architecture, and system integration processes clearly and effectively to ensure continuity and scalability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Fullstack Engineering Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong foundation in both backend and frontend development.
• Python Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Python for building scalable, production-level applications.
• Cloud Computing: Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS, for deploying and maintaining applications.
• Generative AI & NLP: Proven experience with Generative AI models, including hands-on work with LLMs, RAG, and vector databases for semantic search and retrieval tasks.
• NLP and Model Fine-tuning: Solid background in NLP tasks such as topic modeling, classification, and experience with model fine-tuning.
• AI Agent Integration: Understanding of AI agents and their practical implementation in real-world applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks for building applications with language models.
• GitLab expertise for version control and collaborative development.
• Startup experience or comfort in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Leadership Skills:

• Self-starter who can take the initiative and work with minimal guidance.
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving ability to manage ambiguity and find solutions in challenging scenarios.
