Job Overview
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Agile Coach.
Reporing to the Manager, Strategy & Resource Planning, this position is responsible for shaping the agile environment for the Digital & Technology team.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the organization in adopting Agile methodologies by providing training, workshops, and hands-on coaching to teams and leadership. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams to enhance their understanding and application of Agile principles and practices. Support team members in developing their Agile skills and competencies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and delivery quality. Use metrics and feedback to drive iterative improvements and optimize workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to align Agile practices with business goals. Ensure transparency and effective communication between teams and stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
- Guide the organization through the change management process associated with Agile transformation. Address resistance and challenges, and help teams and leaders navigate the transition smoothly.
- Assist in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams and departments. Implement frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale to ensure consistency and alignment in large-scale Agile implementations.
- Develop and maintain metrics and reporting systems to track the progress and effectiveness of Agile adoption. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on data-driven analysis.
- Lead the adoption of Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, using tools like Jira to enhance project delivery. Customize Jira workflows to improve visibility and support teams in using these methodologies effectively.
- 4-Year University Degree in business administration or computer science, or by having the equivalent level of education.
- At least 4 years of working experience as an agile coach.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean across various teams and projects.
- Strong proficiency in using Agile tools like Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting, including the ability to customize workflows and dashboards to meet team needs.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams in Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Experience in guiding organizations through Agile transformation and change management processes, addressing resistance, and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment of Agile practices with business goals.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and delivery quality, using data-driven insights to drive iterative improvements.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
