This role is in Accenture Research Data Science Global Team.

We are looking for an experienced data scientist with business knowledge and research mindset and a passion for data-driven insight discovery.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead and oversee a team of data scientists to derive valuable business insights from data, setting strategic goals and ensuring effective collaboration.
• Design, lead and deliver high impact data science projects focusing on business impact.
• Drive innovation on research projects collaborating closely with research leads, economists, survey experts as well as business stakeholders.
• Design and execute groundbreaking and differentiated data science assets.
• Develop innovative data-driven approaches to support current and future research projects – including with institutions like the World Economic Forum, Harvard and MIT, and leading multinational industry associations.
• Represent Accenture in client-facing situations where a core part of the research solution lies in data science.
• Manage research budgets and relationships with external partners.
• Foster the adoption of data science research tools and outputs within Accenture.
• Understand and manage risks associated with data science projects.
• Oversee the quality of analyses, models, and insights generated by the team.
• Implement best practices for data quality, security, and compliance.
• Coach and mentor more junior data scientists.

Experience And Skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Knowledge of other programming languages would be a plus.
• Recognized expertise with machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, and their applications.
• Knowledge of deploying machine learning models into production environments.
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and modeling methodologies, including forecasting, cross-section and time-series econometrics, causal inference, and experiments design.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing and Text Analytics techniques.
• Exposure to Generative AI algorithms would be a plus.
• Ability to work with messy, real-world data, including cleaning, preprocessing, storing, and wrangling data to ensure quality.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
• Understanding of databases and data storage systems to make informed decisions about data infrastructure.
• Significant track record in leading complex research projects using econometric modeling and data science.
• Strong interest in Technology, Economics, and/or Business research.
• Understanding of business dynamics and how to incorporate them into data science models.
• Ability to address complexity in team management as well as project management.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
• Solid experience in the presentation of research deliverables to high level executives.
• Enthusiasm to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural team.
• Experience in developing and coaching junior data scientists.
• Fluency in English.
  
  

Información adicional

Education: Master’s degree in computer science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or similar. PhD is a plus.

Work Experience: 7+ years of relevant economic research and data science experience
