Responsibilities

• Integrate and adapt an existing C++ engine to run on mobile using SDL2;
• Replace rendering/input/audio subsystems with cross-platform equivalents;
• Implement a mobile-compatible rendering pipeline;
• Develop input abstraction for touchscreen and controller-based input;
• Optimize for frame rate, memory usage, and asset streaming;
• Integrate a lightweight multiplayer session layer Collaborate with designers and artists to support UI and gameplay adaptation.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with C++ in game development;
• Wide experience with game engines (Unreal knowledge is good, any custom engine is better);
• Familiarity with SDL2 or low-level game frameworks;
• Strong knowledge of OpenGL/OpenGL ES and cross-platform rendering;
• Excellent debugging, profiling, and optimization skills;
• Experience working with multithreaded and performance-critical systems;
• Good communication skills in English, and ability to work with remote teams.
  
  
  

Will Be a Plus

• Experience implementing multiplayer netcode (prediction, sync, rollback);
• Background in porting games or engine refactor;
• Ability to maintain platform builds using CMake, NDK, or Xcode;
• Comfortable with mobile development toolchains:
• Android NDK, Gradle, ADB;
• iOS/Xcode, Objective-C++, Metal/OpenGL ES.
