PHP Software Developer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to 

• Develop back-end solutions using modern PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel). 
• Build user-friendly front-end applications with JavaScript frameworks like React.  
• Design and develop functional web applications on the Laravel platform. 
• Find smart solutions to technical challenges encountered during development. 
• Collaborate closely with clients, analysts, and both front-end and back-end development teams. 
• Contribute to code quality through code reviews. 
• Apply your analytical and problem-solving skills in day-to-day tasks. 
• Participate in development effort estimations and proposal preparation. 

Our expectations of you 

• You have at least 3 years of experience in back-end development with PHP. 
• You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with the Laravel framework. 
• You are proficient in the React framework with at least 2 years of development experience. 
• You can create and manage unit tests using tools like Jest or Mock. 
• You understand how relational databases work and have experience with MariaDB. 
• You have experience setting up and working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins). 
• You have worked with message queuing platforms (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar). 
• You are capable of writing and optimizing database queries. 
• You have experience creating and managing REST and/or GraphQL APIs. 
• You have developed solutions in a Docker container environment. 
• You have experience working in an agile development environment. 
• You have a solid grasp of JavaScript-based frameworks and their development principles. 
• You have strong communication skills in both Estonian and English. 

We value experience in the following areas

• Experience developing microservice-based architectures. 
• Previous experience working with large-scale systems. 
• The ability to create architecture diagrams (e.g. component diagrams, deployment diagrams, data models). 
• Experience building solutions based on service-oriented architecture (SOA). 
• Understanding and competence in adhering to software security requirements. 
• Experience with DevOps tools and cloud-based solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
