Embedded SW Engineer

We are looking for a talented Embedded SW Engineer to join our team. The position is part of the communications and radio positioning group where we develop phased array platforms for communications and radar applications. At KONGSBERG we serve the industrial maritime, security and defence applications, with deliveries made directly to customers or in collaboration with Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace

In this position you will be able to contribute to shaping the future of Kongsberg Discovery’s products. The responsibilities can be tailored to the skills of a more senior position for suitable applicants.

Responsibilities

• Embedded SW design and development
• SW integration with FPGA
• Network design and API design
• Participate in product development and realization
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Development experience with ARM architecture, Linux kernel drivers, custom kernel, Yocto, Buildroot, Git
• Development in C and Python
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer or Electrical Science, or a related technical field
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize embedded systems
• Experience from relevant industry is beneficial
• Interest in working towards security and defence related systems
• Fluent in both spoken and written English is mandatory. Fluency in spoken and written Norwegian is beneficial
