JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Scientist to support our innovative Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives within a leading financial institution. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in data analysis, a passion for data integrity, and experience working with modern data platforms and visualization tools. As a Data Engineer on the GenAI team, you will collaborate closely with data scientists and AI engineers to validate the accuracy and integrity of model outputs, ensuring high-quality data pipelines and reliable insights. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining data pipelines to support model training and evaluation, performing in-depth data analysis to uncover trends and anomalies, and creating dashboards and reports using Tableau to communicate findings to stakeholders. You will also be expected to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation, and work with Python and Snowflake to manage and manipulate large datasets. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data Science or data analysis roles, proficiency in SQL (a short SQL test may be part of the interview process), and hands-on experience with Tableau. Strong analytical skills, familiarity with Python, and experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses are essential. Exposure to Generative AI or machine learning projects and experience in the financial services industry are highly desirable.
