Fincons is looking for a Business Intelligence Expert


with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric, to contribute to the enhancement of existing systems and APIs through advanced analytics and the integration of AI-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both BI development and data pipeline orchestration, with working knowledge of Python for AI and automation scenarios.


Technical Skills

🔹 BI & Visualization

  • Expert-level knowledge of Power BI:
  • Data modeling, DAX, measures, and calculated columns
  • Report and dashboard design (including complex interactive visualizations)
  • Gateway configuration and performance optimization
  • Power BI service (workspace management, sharing, scheduling refreshes)
  • Experience building self-service BI solutions and enabling business stakeholders with data access tools.
  • Ability to communicate data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

🔹 Microsoft Azure Platform

  • Practical experience with:
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Azure Analysis Services (nice to have)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric as a unified platform for data movement, transformation, and reporting.

🔹 Data Engineering & Integration

  • Proven ability to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources (SQL/NoSQL, APIs, Excel, cloud services).
  • Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration, performance tuning, and error management.
  • Familiarity with API-based data integration (REST, JSON, etc.).

🔹 AI & Automation Integration

  • Practical understanding of how to use AI models to enrich BI dashboards and systems.
  • Basic to intermediate Python proficiency for:
  • Data wrangling and preprocessing (e.g., pandas, numpy)
  • Calling or deploying ML models
  • Automating repetitive data transformation or reporting tasks

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Azure OpenAI Services or AI APIs
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for BI artifact deployment
  • Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, or Dataiku
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve data usability and business outcomes


Certifications (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate
  • TOGAF or ITIL Foundation (optional, if involved in broader architecture governance)
