For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role,
  • Professional experience with Kotlin for backend development
  • Experience with Spring Boot and Ktor
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Good understanding of REST API design principles, microservices architectures, and cloud-based services (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka, SNS/SQS, or others (Plus)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (Plus)
  • Fluency in English (C1)
  • Availability for flexible hybrid work with occasional trips to the Lisbon office
