Senior Dotnet Developer

Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our financial services client on a daily rate contract. This role is ideal for someone with 8-10 years of professional experience and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role is hybrid-based, with part-time on-site presence in Dublin required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using a range of technologies, including WCF services, Web Forms, MVC, C#, Web-APIs, Windows Services, Angular 7+, MS SQL Server, Git, Azure DevOps, and AWS Lambda functions.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to define system requirements and technical specifications.
• Implement best practices in software development, such as code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception through to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently and ensure the highest level of code quality.
• Optimize system performance and ensure applications are scalable and secure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Senior .NET Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
• Expertise in developing and consuming WCF services, Web-APIs, and Windows Services.
• Expertise in Web Forms, MVC, Angular 7+ for front-end development.
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server for database management and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with version control (Git), Azure DevOps, and AWS Lambda functions.
• In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs and their implementation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python scripting for automation and data integration.
• Knowledge of data integration processes, including ETL and file transport protocols.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, etc.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization for .NET applications.
• Previous experience working with AWS Lambda functions and associated services.
