HR Specialist - Compensation & Benefits and Payroll
Outpost24 is hiring an HR Specialist to join our growing team in Karlskrona, Sweden!

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for Compensation & Benefits and a strong grasp of payroll processes? This is your opportunity to take ownership and make a direct impact as part of our expanding global HR team.

In this hybrid role, you'll blend strategic project work with hands-on HR operations. You'll lead the development and implementation of global C&B initiatives, act as the key point of contact for Swedish Labor law matters and serve as a reliable backup for both payroll and HR administration.

As a HR Specialist Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Compensation & Benefits (50%)

  • Drive and support global Compensation & Benefits projects, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Take ownership of benefits administration and communication for assigned regions
  • Support annual compensation review cycles, benchmarking, and reporting activities
  • Collaborate with HR and finance stakeholders to align on reward strategies

Payroll (25%)

  • Serve as back-up for global payroll processes
  • Responsible for executing payroll for selected countries (approx. 25% of the role)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and labor laws in coordination with external providers
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reporting

HR Services & Administration (25%)

  • Act as point of contact for line managers regarding Swedish labor and social legislation
  • Provide HR support and services to employees and managers, ensuring a positive employee experience
  • Support and back up HR administrative tasks (e.g., contracts, onboarding, data management)
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal documentation

What makes you our ideal candidate?

  • 3-5 years of HR experience with a strong focus on Compensation & Benefits and payroll
  • Proven track record in managing or supporting global HR projects
  • A self-starter who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo and bring fresh perspectives
  • Someone who drives change with a people-first mindset, ensuring new projects and processes are implemented thoughtfully and inclusively
  • Solid knowledge of Swedish labor law and social insurance regulations
  • Comfortable working in an operational HR role
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to switch quickly between tasks and priorities
  • Experience in a fast-paced, international environment is a plus
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
