Network Engineer

Realtime are looking for a Senior Network Engineer for a 100% Remote Opportunity. You will lead the design, implementation, & management of a hybrid multi-cloud & on-prem ecosystem.

This role focuses on building secure, high-availability environments using infrastructure-as-code while migrating legacy systems to modern infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with TechOps, DevOps, and InfoSec teams.

Skills & Responsibilities:

• 7+ years’ experience in enterprise-level network design & support, with cloud expertise.
• Expertise with Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper networking products, VXLAN/EVPN, OSPF/BGP, and VPN technologies.
• Hands-on proficiency with Linux, Windows Server, and authentication technologies (LDAP/Active Directory, RADIUS).
• Strong scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python) and knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Strong communication & multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Certifications: PCNSE, JNCIE, AWS, or Azure certifications.
• Provide senior-level leadership on network infrastructure design and implementation.
• Manage system and network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, virtualization assets, and more.
• Lead proactive lifecycle management, upgrades, capacity planning, and high-priority incident resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering & security teams on infrastructure projects & address recurring issues.
• Drive the development and execution of disaster recovery plans, maintaining operational integrity and 100% uptime.
• Evaluate & implement new technologies to improve system productivity and cost efficiency.
• Ensure network security through expert knowledge of Palo Alto, Juniper, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform for automation and system optimization.
