Job Title: AI/ML Engineer – MLOps

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and driven AI/ML Engineer (MLOps) to design, build, and operationalize machine learning models that support high-impact government-wide AI initiatives. You will work across the entire AI model lifecycle—from design and deployment to monitoring and continuous improvement—ensuring that AI solutions deliver measurable value, comply with standards, and scale effectively across public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

AI Use Case Development

• Design, develop, and train AI/ML models, including deep learning, NLP, and reinforcement learning algorithms, for government-wide challenges.

• Translate stakeholder needs into robust AI solutions in collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and subject-matter experts.

• Build and deploy models using CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and scalable infrastructure, ensuring security and performance compliance.

• Align all implementations with government AI policies, ethical standards, and strategic objectives.

Project & Performance Management

• Manage and track AI use-case delivery using project management tools.

• Identify and resolve technical roadblocks to maintain progress and timelines.

• Communicate project status, risks, and next steps to stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Post-Deployment Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor deployed AI systems for performance, scalability, and reliability using real-time data.

• Conduct A/B testing, error analysis, and performance evaluations to optimize models post-deployment.

• Retrain and fine-tune models using updated datasets and feedback loops.

• Automate data collection and annotation to improve long-term model accuracy and responsiveness to evolving government requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, AI/ML Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 6–8 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with demonstrated hands-on experience in:

o Deep Learning

o NLP and Computer Vision

o Model deployment and lifecycle management

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and R.

• Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Solid understanding of AI deployment methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with AI governance, compliance, and ethical implementation principles is a plus.

• Certifications in AI/ML tools or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure ML, Google AI) are desirable.
