Onitsuka Tiger embarked on a new chapter on 1 October 2018, operating quasi-independently within the same legal framework as ASICS Corporation. This strategic shift was in response to the unique operational needs of the Onitsuka Tiger brand. Our goal is to elevate Onitsuka Tiger to the pinnacle of premium lifestyle brands on a global scale. As we strengthen our organizational structure to support our growth in Southeast Asia, we are in search of a dedicated Regional Assistant IT Project Manager to actively engage in and support our business development initiatives.


This position is responsible for managing overall IT matters at both the tactical and operational levels, working closely with key stakeholders including the local ASICS IT team, which provides shared services, and the Onitsuka Tiger Southeast Asia team. The role ensures alignment with business strategies to support the achievement of Onitsuka Tiger’s goals. Additionally, the position serves as a true business partner to both the Onitsuka Tiger Southeast Asia team and the Onitsuka Tiger Headquarters Operation Management team, driving strategy execution through IT and digital projects, outsourcing and vendor management, as well as IT issue problem management. The role will also be involved in promoting digital transformation initiatives to help Onitsuka Tiger evolve into a more independent and future-ready organization.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Project & Digital Strategy Management

  • Establish systems in the IT area to support business expansion and project promotion; review requirements and manage implementation progress.
  • Plan the digitalization of business operations to meet business needs, optimize IT investments, and conduct ROI analysis.
  • Provide data analysis and business intelligence support to all stakeholders.
  • Plan, lead, and track the progress of software development work.
  • Map out the overall execution plan and ensure that roles and responsibilities, objectives, commitments, deliverables, and schedules are clearly communicated to team members and customers.
  • Understand and analyse requirements to assist in the development of technical design specifications and translate designs into process/program specifications.
  • Take the lead on projects.
  • Work with the product owner to prioritize project work and technical debt to ensure the optimum use of technical resources.
  • Ensure quality in the development process and provide ongoing maintenance.
  • Communicate clearly (both written and verbal) with technical and non-technical contacts (internal and external) across all seniority levels.
  • Participate in the initial phase of Digital Transformation (DX) initiatives to enhance operational independence and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the global implementation of ERP systems in alignment with business strategies.
  • Engage in a broad range of IT responsibilities, offering opportunities for hands-on involvement across multiple domains.


Outsourcing & Vendor Management

  • Manage IT outsourcers in relation to internal company matters.


IT Support Management

  • Provide IT support for stores in cooperation with the DTC department, including operational support for the POS system and other IT systems in stores.
  • Manage customer personal information data and privacy in collaboration with ASICS IT Shared Services.
  • Manage and resolve IT issues to support the business team.



REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related role.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong willingness to be involved in operational tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environments and business needs.
  • Experience with SAP (SAP FMS/SAP S4 HANA (FICO/SDMM)) or Oracle NetSuite is preferred.
  • Experience with Magento or Adobe Commerce is preferred.
  • Experience in participating in global system rollouts or roll-ins.
  • Experience working at a HQ or regional level within a global organization.
  • Experience in the retail industry, particularly in fashion (apparel/footwear) or cosmetics, is preferred.
  • Possession of project management certifications such as PMP, CITPM, or PRINCE2 will be an advantage.
