Senior C++ Engineer – Real-Time Trading Systems | Commodities

Contract - 6 months

London – Hybrid – Inside I35

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior C++ Developer with strong experience building robust, high-performance components for real-time, event-driven trading systems.

This is a great opportunity to lead a small, high-impact team (3–6 engineers) within a globally scaled commodities trading program. You’ll work closely with traders and the wider technology group, shaping the architecture and stability of the platform used across global markets.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and developing core components in C++ for high-performance trading systems
• Leading and mentoring a top-tier team of C++ engineers
• Driving operational excellence and uptime across global trading environments
• Collaborating directly with traders and stakeholders in London

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–10+ years' experience in Algorithmic / Real-Time / Electronic Trading Systems
• Deep expertise in modern C/C++, systems architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, and low-latency design
• Proven background in Linux-based systems
• Bonus: experience or exposure to Python for tooling or scripting
• Strong academic background in Computer Science or Engineering
